( On the far left and bottom right ) The sixth grade class at Stacy School where my mom and aunt attended
( Center and Right ) The closeup photo is of my mother and grandfather, and three of my Uncles, whom I’ve never seen before.
( Far left ) “This is the free clinic (set up by the E.O. Robinson Mountain fund) set up at Home Place by a social worker named Lula Hale, who worked for Robinson. She got a doctor to come and see people and he ended up bringing entire crews and doing surgery once they built a small hospital! Now part of the Appalachian Regional Hospital system.
( Center ) The big group has my grandmother. My mom is the little girl middle of the front row, her hands together and head down. She held her hands like that all her life.

( Far left ) My mother’s 8th grade photo.
( Center left ) When my mother was a student nurse! This was taken at Marion County General Hospital, Indianapolis.
